Boating Courses
Our Public Education Officer (email address shown below) is in charge of
our Public Education boating safety courses. We conduct these courses
frequently each year. A schedule of our
current courses with a brief description is shown below.
About Boating Safely (ABS) is a basic boating safety course.
Upon successful completion of the course and exam, the student will be entitled
to receive a NJ Boating Safety Certificate, which is now required to operate a power
boat in New Jersey.

2. Requirements for Test-Out Exam: Person must be at least
27 years old with 100 houra or more of boat operation at
helm. |

Person must sign an affidavit that they meet these
requirements, This is a one time only exam. Persons
failing the |
|
exam will be required to take a boating safety course. |
|
|

|
|
|
|
All students are required to bring a pen, pencil and self
addressed stamped envelope to class (required to mail you
the |
|
New Jersey Boating Safety Certificate). One envelope for
multiple students at same address is okay. |
