Boating Courses

Our Public Education Officer (email address shown below) is in charge of our Public Education boating safety  courses.  We conduct these courses frequently each year. A schedule of our current courses with a brief description is shown below.

Americas' Boating Course (ABC) is a basic boating safety course.  Upon successful completion of the course and exam, the student will be entitled to receive a NJ Safe Boating Certificate now required to operate a power boat in New Jersey as of June 1, 2006.

1. Requirements for Test-Out Exam: Person must be at least 27 years old with 100 hours or more of boat operation at helm.
    Person must sign an affidavit that they meet these requirements,  This is a one time only exam.  Persons failing the
    exam will be required to take a boating safety course.          
                     
2. To enroll provide name, address and home/cell phone numbers in email.  Payment cash or check payable to Flotilla 10-07
    payable at door.                  
                     
All students are required to bring a pen, pencil and self addressed stamped envelope to class (required to mail you the
New Jersey Boating Safety Certificate).  One envelope for multiple students at same address is okay.
