Hazards to Navigation
When the lake level is below normal three sandbars;
- 1. extends from the northeast shore of Halsey Island
- 2. extends from the eastern side of shore of Lake Forest
- 3. extends from the eastern side of main lake across from the State Park
When the lake level is well over flood level or boats that have unusually high Bimini tops should check clearance at;
- Brady Bridge
- Riverstyx Bridge
Where to go when weather comes up
- Return to your personal dock, marina or nearest cove at a safe speed and seek shelter, especially in a thunderstorm.
- When caught in fog, a heavy rainfall or any limited visibility condition be sure to turn your navigation lights on.
